Booking Terms

1. Bookings

After submitting your booking via our website or e-mail we do our best to confirm your tour or contact you in 24 hours. Due to increased workload during high season (May-October) we might not be able to process every booking so fast, so if you don’t get a response from us or book less than 24 hours before the tour please contact us by phone at +372 5690 7401 during regular office hours to confirm your booking.

Our office hours are as follows:
• From May to October 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (GMT+2) every day
• From November to April 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (GMT+2) every day

2. Payments

We do ask 100% pre-payment for most of our tours. You can pay by credit card through our secure payment system or PayPal, alternatively we can send you an invoice via email. We are a cashless company.

Please note that if your group has made a pre-payment deposit and some members do not show up, they will lose their deposits.

3. Cancellations

As a traveller, you can always cancel and we will partly or fully refund you. A confirmed reservation can be cancelled by a traveller at any time up to the moment of the actual event.

• When cancelled more than 48 hours before the tour, your booking is fully refunded*.
• When cancelled less than 48 hours before the tour or in the case of a no-show, no refund is issued.

If your tour cannot take place as a result of "force majeure" then Sidetrip will not accept liability nor pay compensation to you. Instead a travel credit equal or greater than the value of your original booking will be granted to you. This credit will be valid for a period of 24 months from the time of issue.

In these conditions, “force majeure” means any event which Sidetrip could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. These events may include actual or threatened war, riot, revolution, civil strife, terrorist activity, port or border blockages, industrial dispute, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, disease, epidemic, fire and all similar events outside Sidetrip's control.

*Please note, that the credit card processing fee (1.5-3% or up to 5.9% when paying by Paypal) charged by the third party payment provider will not be refunded.

4. Changes

We try to accommodate all requests for changes and, as a general rule, there is no extra fee for changing your booking if you do it at least 48 hours before your tour. If you have made a group booking and some group members fail to show up at the last moment, you are responsible for compensating us for the related costs (renting a larger vehicle, for example).

6. Baggage

Our baggage policy is designed to offer all our travelers the convenience and flexibility to travel with a reasonable amount of luggage. To ensure that each of our guests has fair access to luggage space, we provide the following luggage allowance per passenger, modeled after common airline allowances:

  • One item of airline carry-on size: maximum size of 55 x 40 x 23cm (22 x 14 x 9in)
  • One item of airline checked size: maximum size of 80 x 50 x 30cm (32 x 20 x 12in), weighing less than 23 kg (50lbs)
  • One personal item: maximum size of 15 x 15 x 10 cm (6 x 6 x 4in)

Exceeding these allowances on the day of travel may result in your luggage being denied aboard our vehicle. If your luggage requires special consideration, please contact us as soon as possible.

    7. Disclaimer

Please be aware that our tours take you to the outdoors and while our guides do their best at pointing out where to be careful you are ultimately responsible for not falling off a cliff or falling off a bicycle. When booking a tour you acknowledge that participation takes place at your own risk and insurance is not provided as part of the package (unless clearly stated otherwise).

If a passenger shows up intoxicated or is offensive towards other participants of the tour or the tour guide, we have the right to exclude them from the group. In case our property is damaged by your misuse you'll be responsible for covering the repair costs.

    8. Corporate Bookings

Sidetrip OÜ is incorporated in Estonia and is eligible for 22% value added tax (VAT). Please note that by Estonian tax laws international passenger transport, such as Berlin to Prague and Prague to Vienna tours are exempt from VAT and sold with 0% tax. VAT is only included in the price of tours that stay within the borders of one country. If you need an invoice showing VAT, it can be easily issued by our office staff and sent via e-mail.
